In sales or swaps HLC offers the following services to clients:
- Advice on marketing strategy (public auction, targeted auction, one-to-one sale, swap etc.);
- Identifying prospective buyers;
- Valuation;
- Identification of asset value and potential upside;
- Preparation of marketing materials (IM, data room materials, management presentation etc.);
- Coordination of the sales process and management of the data room;
- Evaluation and negotiation of offers and
- Support through to completion.
In summary, overseeing, organising and executing the process from start to finish.

In helping a client make an acquisition HLC can lead a pro-active search for acquisition targets, pre-screening potential sellers without releasing the identity of the client in the first instance. It can also work with the client on a reactive project, where a specific sale opportunity has been made known to the client and/or HLC.
HLC typically provides the following services to its client:
Identification of acquisition opportunities and advice on strategy and tactics;
Facilitate approaches to third parties and their advisers;
Identification and analysis of potential competing bidders;
Valuation (including analyses of likely competing bids);
Coordination of the acquisition process including assistance with the review of data;
Preparation of internal management and board presentations;
Submission and negotiation of offers;
Support through to completion.
